Mystery Readers' Meeting, December 19

The next Mystery Readers' Meeting will be held on December 19 at 6:30pm at the Visalia Library (upstairs, in the "blue" meeting room).
There is no book to read for December; just bring a gift-wrapped book (paperback, hardback, new or gently used) with no name on it. We will play the Yankee Swap game with the wrapped books.

Guest Speaker Dr. David Cislowski, October 27

Guest Speaker, Dr. David Cislowski, will be at the Visalia Library on October 27 at 7 PM to discuss his parents' experience as Holocaust survivors.

David Cislowski is a cardiologist.  He is a Sabra (a native born Isreali) and the son of Holocaust survivors.  Both of his parents survived WWII and the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.  Dr. Cislowski grew up in California with other survivors of the Holocaust.

Mystery Readers' Book Group, October 17

The next Mystery Readers' Book Group will meet on October 17 at 6:30pm at the Visalia Library (upstairs, in the "blue" meeting room).

For October we will all read a mystery by Deborah Crombie, twice winner of the McCavity Award.  She grew up in Texas, her first husband was British and she spends some time in England each year.  She writes British procedurals.  You may read any of her books and we will compare notes October 17^th.

Friends' Lobby Book Sale

The Friends of the Tulare County Library have a large selection of books for sale, daily, inside the library. Books are priced at 50 cents each, and magazines are priced at 25 cents each. The selection changes daily, so come in often to see what's been newly added!
