Stop by the Visalia Branch Library anytime between now and April 11 to be entered in the Friends of the Library Literary Basket Drawing! Tickets are just $1.00 each and can be purchased at the check out desk. Be sure to fill out the ticket and mark which basket you'd wish to win - and then put it in the correct box. The drawing will be held on Saturday, April 11 at the Fiz-Nik Rick event, which is also sponsored by the Friends of the Library. You don't need to be present to win.
Themes for baskets this year include Magic Kingdom, Dinosaurs, "Frozen", Gardening, Chocolate, and Local Heritage. There's also a Special Basket that will only be available on Saturday, April 11.
The Friends of the Tulare County Library will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, April 9, at 7:00 PM in the library's upstairs (purple) meeting room. Absolutely everyone is welcome to attend, including and especially current Friends, prospective Friends, and anyone who is interested in learning more! Please contact the Visalia Reference Desk at 713-2703 for more information.
The Friends of the Tulare County Library is an association for people who love libraries, reading, books, volunteering, and raising money to enhance public library services.
Now, more than ever, your library needs your help. A well-stocked library is a basic necessity in any community. Help us grow. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the upstairs meeting room at the Visalia Main Branch. Everyone is welcome.
There is a large selection of books for sale, daily, inside the library. Hardbacks, paperbacks, and children's books are priced at 50 cents each, and magazines are priced at 25 cents each. The selection changes daily, so come in often to see what's been newly added!
